چکیده

Anemia is one of the modifiable risk factors for development left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). However, there are not enough studies on effect iron metabolism geometry.
Materials and Methods. The authors examined 147 (69 males 78 females) CKD undergoing long-term hemodialysis. mean age was 55.6±13.4 years. Median dialysis treatment was
3 [2; 5] Kt/V index 1.52±0.2. Based echocardiogram data, we calculated mass (LVM), (LVMI), relative wall thickness (RWTI), intima, medium fiber fractional shortening. Ferritin, transferrin, transferrin saturation were also determined.
Results. Changes LV geometry detected 124 (84.4 %) patients. Higher LVMI, RWTI parameters observed group hemoglobin <100 g/l. Patients ferritin levels >800 ng/l demonstrated higher end-systolic dimension lower ejection fraction compared to <500 ng/mL.
Conclusion. Structural functional indicators heart hemodialysis correlate only level, but (ferritin, saturation). In a high ventricle lower.

Renal Replacement Therapy in Patients with Heart and Kidney Failure.

The incidence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) is high as CKD and CHF share underlying risk factors such as arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus and atherosclerosis. Cardiac failure leads to renal hypoperfusion and dysfunction and then fluid overload and need for aggressive diuretic therapy. However, development of diuretic resistance represents a...
